The noise in the city

The mere presence of supporters does not make a cause noble and just. Hitler had supporters. Stalin had supporters. Nicolae had supporters. Idi Amin had supporters.

Even Satan has a legion.

And that a man lifts his hands to pray does not sanction the purity of his heart.

Popularism is a function of the crowd effect.

It’s only popular because many people are talking about it. But because many people are talking about it does not make it right and does not make it just.

People can be ignorantly honest and objectively wrong.

And so if you follow an ideology merely because of its numbers, you may be on a path of no return.

The crowd effect is a very dangerous effect. That our judges are now blind and our pulpits are how desecrated does not negate the purity of Justice.

We have prostitutes today running around everywhere. Prostitutes of power. Prostitutes of fame. Prostitutes of wealth. Prostitutes of favor and acceptance.

Assuming any position in return for whatever their desires crave.

And that an idea has the backing of the state, of the papacy or of your favorite celeb does not make it right,

If it’s not right.

People kill in the name of religion but killing is not right. People betray one another in the name of religion & people rape in the name of religion.

And Religion has followers. So the mere presence of followers does not make a cause noble & just.

Our world is a wicked place

But because wickedness has been exalted in the city does not mean there’s no voice crying in the wilderness.

You don’t always find truth in the city. The city is too full of noise and hypocrisy.

Sometimes you find these truths in the wilderness of your experience.

Deep within your heart of hearts, truth lies there. What is it saying? What are you hearing?

Empty yourself of pride and of your selfish desires, what can you hear?

That there, is the truth.
